Titanium Lifting · quick answer

What Titanium lifting does, in one paragraph

Titanium lifting is a laser lifting treatment that uses a diode laser emitting three wavelengths at once (755, 810 and 1064 nm), not radiofrequency as is sometimes stated. A sliding handpiece with contact cooling gently heats the dermis and upper fat layer, which can tighten skin, define the jawline and give an immediate brighter look while stimulating collagen over the following weeks. At Ever Skin Clinic in Apgujeong, a board-certified dermatologist decides whether Titanium alone or a combination with deeper lifting suits your laxity.

The laser

How Titanium works as a laser device

Each of the three diode wavelengths heats tissue at a slightly different depth. Combined and delivered by continuously moving the handpiece over the skin, they warm the dermis evenly to a therapeutic temperature while the cooled tip protects the surface. Because the energy is spread out rather than focused into points, the treatment is relatively comfortable and has very little downtime.

This page explains Titanium from a laser perspective. Our Titanium lifting overview covers how it fits into our lifting plans, and it is often paired with HIFU lifting when deeper SMAS-level lifting is also needed.

What Titanium can and cannot do

  • Can tighten mildly loose skin and refine the jawline
  • Can give a brighter, firmer look soon after treatment
  • Cannot replace surgery for significant sagging
  • Cannot add lost volume; fillers or collagen stimulators do that
  • Works best as part of a regular maintenance or combined plan

Is it right for you?

Who is a good candidate?

Titanium suits people in their late 20s to 50s with early to moderate laxity, a softening jawline or dull skin who want a natural improvement with almost no downtime, such as before an event or during a short visit to Seoul.

Patients with more marked sagging may benefit more from Ultherapy or thread lifting, with Titanium used for maintenance.

Titanium may suit you if you

  • Have early sagging along the jawline or cheeks
  • Want a firmer, brighter look before an event
  • Need to return to work or sightseeing the same day
  • Prefer a comfortable treatment with little pain
  • Want regular maintenance between deeper lifting sessions

Your visit

What happens during treatment

Allow about an hour in clinic; the laser itself takes about 20 to 40 minutes.

  1. Assessment A board-certified dermatologist examines laxity and skin quality and plans the areas and energy.
  2. Preparation The skin is cleansed and a gel is applied; numbing is usually not needed.
  3. Laser lifting The cooled handpiece glides over the face in passes until the target warmth is reached.
  4. Aftercare We soothe the skin and explain when to consider a repeat or combined treatment.

Recovery & safety

Recovery, side effects and aftercare

Mild redness, warmth or slight swelling is common and usually settles within a few hours. Less common effects include temporary sensitivity, small areas of redness that last longer, and, rarely, burns or pigment change if the skin overheats, which is why energy is adjusted for each patient.

Tell your dermatologist if you are pregnant, have recently tanned, take photosensitising medicines, have active skin infection or inflammation, or have had fillers or threads placed recently.

Aftercare tips

  • Use a gentle moisturiser and SPF daily
  • Avoid saunas and very hot baths for 1 to 2 days
  • Skip strong exfoliants and retinoids for a few days
  • Make-up can usually be worn the same day
  • Follow the suggested interval for repeat sessions

Questions we hear every day

Titanium Lifting FAQ

Is Titanium lifting a radiofrequency treatment?

No. Titanium is a diode laser that combines three wavelengths (755, 810 and 1064 nm). It is sometimes described as RF online, but it does not use radiofrequency. Its gliding, cooled handpiece is what makes it comfortable.

Does Titanium lifting hurt?

Most patients feel warmth that builds with each pass, and it is generally one of the more comfortable lifting treatments. Numbing cream is rarely needed. Tell the doctor if any area feels too hot so the energy can be adjusted.

How long do Titanium results last?

Some tightening is visible soon after treatment, and collagen effects build over about 4 to 8 weeks. Many patients repeat it every few months or combine it with deeper lifting. Results vary with age, skin quality and lifestyle.

Can I have Titanium right before a flight or event?

Yes, downtime is usually limited to a few hours of redness, so it is popular for short stays and before events. Avoid scheduling it the same day as strong sun exposure, and use sunscreen afterwards.

Titanium or HIFU: which should I choose?

Titanium heats the skin and upper fat broadly for tightening and glow, while HIFU focuses energy deeper, including the SMAS layer, for more lifting. Many patients benefit from both. Your dermatologist will advise based on your laxity.
