IV Drip Therapy for Skin · quick answer

What IV drip therapy for skin is, in one paragraph

IV drip therapy for skin means intravenous infusions of antioxidants, vitamins and fluids chosen to support skin health, most commonly glutathione, high-dose vitamin C or a combination. They may modestly support brightness and hydration, but evidence for visible skin changes is limited, and drips work best as an add-on to topical care, lasers or skin boosters. At Ever Skin Clinic, a board-certified dermatologist helps you choose a drip, or decide you do not need one, after checking your skin and health.

Drip options

Which skin drips do we offer?

This page is a guide to choosing between our skin-focused drips. Each one contains different active ingredients, and the right choice depends on your concern, your health and what other treatments you are having. A drip delivers nutrients into the bloodstream rather than directly to the skin, so it supports, rather than replaces, treatments that act on the skin itself.

For the strongest effect on pigment and tone, drips are usually paired with laser toning or skin boosters. Read more about individual drips on the glutathione IV and vitamin C drip pages.

Our skin drips at a glance

  • Glutathione IV : antioxidant used as brightening support
  • Vitamin C drip : high-dose antioxidant; requires screening for G6PD and kidney issues
  • Snow White drip : a combined brightening formula
  • Hydration and vitamin drips : fluids and vitamins for tired, dehydrated skin
  • Not a replacement for sunscreen, skincare or lasers

Is it right for you?

Who is a good candidate?

Skin drips suit healthy adults who want an optional, no-downtime step alongside their skin plan, for example during a laser toning course or before an event. Many visitors add one to a treatment day in Seoul.

Drips are not suitable for everyone. Pregnancy, kidney or heart disease, G6PD deficiency, and some allergies or medicines may rule out certain formulas, so your dermatologist reviews your history first.

A skin drip may suit you if you

  • Have dull, dehydrated or tired-looking skin
  • Are having pigmentation treatment and want supportive care
  • Want something with no visible downtime
  • Have no health conditions that rule out IV therapy
  • Accept that effects are subtle and need maintenance

Your visit

What happens during a drip

You rest in a reclining chair during the infusion. Drips can be booked on the same day as other treatments.

  1. Consultation A board-certified dermatologist reviews your skin concern, health and medicines and recommends a drip, or none.
  2. Preparation A nurse prepares the chosen formula and places a fine cannula in an arm vein.
  3. Infusion The drip runs for about 20 to 60 minutes depending on the formula.
  4. Follow-up We check you feel well and plan any further drips around your other treatments.

Recovery & safety

Side effects and safety

Common effects are a small bruise or tenderness at the drip site and a cool feeling in the arm. Some people feel lightheaded, nauseous or flushed. Rarely, allergic reactions or problems specific to an ingredient can occur, which is why drips are given under medical supervision.

Tell your dermatologist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney, liver or heart disease, G6PD deficiency, asthma, diabetes, a history of allergic reactions, or take regular medicines or supplements.

Aftercare tips

  • Eat a light meal before your drip
  • Press on the drip site for a few minutes afterwards
  • Drink water for the rest of the day
  • Keep using sunscreen and your skincare routine
  • Contact the clinic if you develop a rash or feel unwell

Questions we hear every day

IV Drip Therapy for Skin FAQ

Which skin drip should I choose?

It depends on your concern and health. Glutathione and vitamin C are the most common brightening options, and combined drips mix several ingredients. Your dermatologist will recommend one, or suggest skipping drips if another treatment would help you more.

Do IV drips really improve skin?

Evidence for visible skin changes is limited, and any effect is subtle and temporary. Drips are best seen as optional support. The biggest improvements in tone and texture come from sunscreen, skincare and treatments such as lasers and boosters.

How often can I have a drip?

Patients who choose drips often have them weekly or every few weeks during a skin course. We keep courses conservative and review whether they help you.

Are IV drips safe?

Given under medical supervision after a health review, they are generally well tolerated. Side effects such as bruising, nausea and, rarely, allergic reactions can occur, and some formulas are unsuitable for people with certain conditions.

Can I have a drip on a short trip?

Yes. There is no downtime, and a drip can be added to the same visit as a laser or booster. Tell us your travel dates and we will plan the order of treatments.
