Derma Fillers · quick answer
What derma fillers do, in one paragraph
Derma fillers are injectable gels, most often hyaluronic acid (HA) and sometimes collagen-stimulating formulas, used to restore lost volume, define contours and soften folds and hollows. Results are visible straight away and HA filler can be dissolved if needed. At Ever Skin Clinic in Apgujeong, board-certified dermatologists assess your whole face first, then choose the areas, product and technique, aiming for balanced, natural-looking results rather than overfilling. Filler areas
Which areas we treat with filler
Each part of the face ages and is shaped differently, so the product and depth change with the area. Soft, flexible HA is used where skin is thin or moves a lot, such as tear troughs and lips, while firmer gels support structure in the chin, jawline and nose.
Many patients benefit most from a combined plan, for example midface filler with lifting, or filler together with non-surgical facial contouring using Botox.
Our filler areas
- Eyes and midface — tear trough, under-eye, front cheek and side cheek
- Upper face — forehead and temples
- Profile — nose, chin and jawline
- Mouth area — lips and smile lines
- Beyond the face — neck lines, hands and ears

Who fillers can help
Fillers suit adults who want to restore volume lost with age, correct hollows or shadows, or refine proportions such as a short chin or flat nose bridge, without surgery. They are not a substitute for lifting when the main concern is sagging skin, and a dermatologist should tell you honestly when another treatment fits better.
We also see many patients who are unhappy with filler done elsewhere. In these cases, existing HA filler may be dissolved with hyaluronidase before any re-treatment is planned.
Fillers may suit you if you want to
- Soften hollows under the eyes or at the temples
- Restore midface volume and support
- Refine the nose, chin or jawline profile
- Soften smile lines, marionette lines or neck creases
- Correct uneven or migrated filler from previous treatment

How a filler appointment works
Most filler appointments take about 30 to 60 minutes including numbing, so they fit into a short stay in Seoul.
- Consultation A board-certified dermatologist assesses your face as a whole, discusses priorities and recommends areas and products.
- Mapping Injection points are planned around blood vessels and facial anatomy, and numbing cream is applied.
- Injection Filler is placed with a fine needle or microcannula, area by area, checking balance as we go.
- Aftercare We explain what to expect and how to reach us, including by message if you are travelling.
Real patient · before & after
Balanced, full-face filler
This patient received filler across several areas of the face to restore volume and smooth transitions between the eyes, cheeks and lower face. The aim was a refreshed, balanced look rather than visible fullness.
Results depend on your anatomy, skin quality and the areas treated, so your dermatologist will show you relevant cases and explain what is realistic at consultation.
Photos are shared with the patient's consent and are not retouched apart from privacy blurring. Results differ from person to person and are not guaranteed.

Recovery, risks and aftercare
Swelling, tenderness and bruising are common and usually settle within a few days to a week. Less often, lumps, asymmetry or a bluish tint under thin skin can occur, and HA filler can usually be adjusted or dissolved. The most important rare risk is filler entering or pressing on a blood vessel, which can affect the skin or, very rarely, vision; this is why anatomy-based technique and prompt review matter.
Tell your dermatologist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take blood thinners, have an autoimmune condition, active infection, cold sores or a history of filler reactions. Contact the clinic immediately if you notice increasing pain, skin colour change or any change in vision.
Aftercare tips
- Avoid pressing or massaging treated areas unless advised
- Skip saunas, hot baths and intense exercise for 2 to 3 days
- Limit alcohol for a couple of days to reduce bruising
- Sleep with your head slightly raised on the first night
- Allow a few days before important events or photos
Questions we hear every day
Derma Fillers FAQ
How long do dermal fillers last?
It depends on the product and area. Many HA fillers last around six to twelve months in mobile areas like the lips and longer in areas such as the chin or temples, while collagen stimulators may last 12 to 18 months or more. Your dermatologist will give an estimate for each area.
Do fillers hurt?
Most patients feel brief pinches and pressure. Numbing cream is applied beforehand and many fillers contain lidocaine. Sensitive areas such as the lips may feel more intense, so tell your dermatologist about your pain tolerance.
Can filler be removed if I do not like it?
Hyaluronic acid filler can usually be dissolved with hyaluronidase, which is one reason it is preferred for delicate areas. Collagen-stimulating fillers such as Radiesse cannot be dissolved this way, so they are planned more conservatively.
How do I avoid an overfilled look?
Treating the whole face in balance, using modest amounts and placing filler at the right depth all help. Our dermatologists prefer to build gradually and review, rather than correct everything in one session.
Can I get fillers during a short trip to Seoul?
Yes. Many international patients have fillers during a visit because downtime is short. Plan a few days before important events for swelling or bruising to settle, and keep in touch by message if you have questions after returning home.
