Safety, side effects and aftercare
Non-surgical treatments are not risk-free. Bruising, swelling and tenderness are common after injections, and lifting devices or lasers can cause redness or temporary sensitivity. Rare but serious filler complications, such as vascular occlusion, need prompt recognition by a trained doctor.
Tell your dermatologist about previous fillers, threads or surgery, medical conditions, blood-thinning medicines and supplements, allergies, and pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Aftercare tips
- Avoid pressing or massaging injected areas unless advised
- Skip saunas, alcohol and intense exercise for a day or two
- Plan treatments with a buffer before events or flights
- Use daily sunscreen after lasers
- Contact the clinic urgently if you notice skin blanching, severe pain or colour change after filler

What is non-surgical facial contouring?
It is the use of non-surgical treatments, such as Botox, fillers and lifting devices, to improve the balance and outline of the face. The plan depends on whether a concern comes from bone, muscle, fat or loose skin.
Will I look natural?
Our aim is natural-looking change that preserves your features. Results depend on your anatomy and the treatments chosen, and conservative doses can be increased later if needed. Discuss your preferences openly at consultation.
How much downtime should I expect?
Many injectables and lifting devices allow you to return to normal activities the same or next day, though bruising or swelling can last several days. Your dermatologist will give an estimate for your specific plan.
Can you correct filler done elsewhere?
Often, yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, and the area re-treated later if needed. Bring any information about previous products and dates so the dermatologist can plan safely.
