Bunny Line Botox · quick answer
What bunny line Botox does, in one paragraph
Bunny line Botox is a tiny dose of botulinum toxin injected into the nasalis muscle on each side of the upper nose. This muscle wrinkles the skin when you smile, laugh or scrunch your nose, creating diagonal bunny lines. Relaxing it softens these lines for about three to four months. Bunny lines often become more noticeable after frown line Botox, as the nose muscles take over. At Ever Skin Clinic, a board-certified dermatologist places the injections high on the nose to avoid affecting the upper lip.

The treatment
What is bunny line Botox?
Bunny lines are the small diagonal creases that fan out from the bridge of the nose when you scrunch your nose or smile broadly. Some people form them naturally; others notice them after frown line Botox, because when the muscles between the brows relax, the nasal muscles can work harder. A small amount of Botox in each side of the nasalis softens the creasing.
Bunny line Botox is usually added to an upper-face plan with frown line and crow's feet Botox, so the eyes, brows and nose move in a balanced way.
What bunny line Botox can and cannot do
- Can soften diagonal lines on the sides of the nose
- Can balance expression after frown line Botox
- Cannot change nose shape; see nose fillers for that
- Cannot treat nasolabial folds beside the mouth
- Uses very small doses, typically with quick treatment
Is it right for you?
Who is a good candidate?
Good candidates see clear lines on the upper nose when they smile or scrunch, or notice these lines in close-up photos. It is especially useful for patients who already have frown line Botox and see the nose taking over. Your dermatologist will check the area at rest and in motion to choose a very conservative dose.

- See diagonal lines on your nose when you smile or laugh

An example of a natural full-face plan
This patient had a combined program of lifting, contouring Botox, filler and a skin booster. It shows our non-surgical approach, but it is not a bunny line Botox result and none of the change shown can be credited to it.
Bunny lines are best seen in photos taken while scrunching the nose. Ask us at consultation for relevant cases.
Photos are shared with the patient's consent and are not retouched apart from privacy blurring. Results differ from person to person and are not guaranteed.

Recovery, side effects and aftercare
Small bumps fade within an hour and tiny bruises are uncommon. If the toxin spreads lower, it can rarely affect the muscle that lifts the upper lip, changing the smile slightly for a few weeks; placing the injection high on the nose reduces this risk.
Tell your dermatologist if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a neuromuscular condition, take blood thinners or aminoglycoside antibiotics, or have had nose fillers or threads.
Aftercare tips
- Stay upright for about 4 hours after treatment
- Do not rub or press the nose on the treatment day
- Avoid heavy glasses resting on the injection points for a few hours
- Skip saunas and intense exercise for the rest of the day
- Review your smile in photos after 2 weeks
Questions we hear every day
Bunny Line Botox FAQ
Does bunny line Botox hurt?
It is one of the quickest Botox treatments, with usually one small injection on each side of the nose. Most people feel only a brief sting. Ice can be applied first if you are sensitive, and the whole treatment takes a few minutes.
How long does bunny line Botox last?
Results typically last about three to four months, similar to other upper-face Botox areas. Many patients have it at the same time as frown line and crow's feet Botox, so all areas can be maintained together on the same schedule.
Why did bunny lines appear after my frown Botox?
When the muscles between the brows are relaxed, some people unconsciously use the nasal muscles more when they express emotion, so bunny lines become more visible. A small dose of Botox in the nasalis can rebalance the area and soften these lines.
Can bunny line Botox affect my smile?
Rarely, if the toxin spreads to the muscle that lifts the upper lip, the smile can change slightly for a few weeks. Placing very small doses high on the side of the nose, as we do, keeps this risk low. Tell us if you notice any change.
Can I add bunny line Botox during a short visit?
Yes. It takes only a few minutes and can easily be added to another Botox appointment. There is no downtime, and the effect starts within a few days. Stay upright for a few hours afterwards and avoid rubbing your nose.
