RE2O Human Collagen · quick answer
What RE2O does, in one paragraph
RE2O is an injectable made from human-derived collagen. Placed into the dermis in small amounts, it gives soft support to thin skin and acts as a scaffold for the skin's own repair, which can gradually improve fine lines, crepey texture and shallow scars. Because it is soft and spreads evenly, it is often chosen for delicate areas such as under the eyes. At Ever Skin Clinic, a board-certified dermatologist assesses skin thickness and previous treatments before planning areas and sessions.

The treatment
What is RE2O?
RE2O is one of the two real collagen injections we offer. Instead of prompting new collagen indirectly, it places purified collagen of human origin into the skin. Its soft texture makes it well suited to areas where the skin is thin and fillers can show, such as the lower eyelid and fine lines around the eyes and mouth.
RE2O works on skin quality, not facial shape. When volume loss is the main concern, your dermatologist may combine it with hyaluronic acid fillers or a collagen stimulator. We also describe RE2O within our skin booster program.
Where RE2O is commonly used
- Under-eyes : thin, crepey skin and fine creases
- Around the eyes and mouth : fine lines that fillers can overcorrect
- Neck : thinning skin and early horizontal lines
- Shallow scars : soft, depressed areas, sometimes with laser or microneedling
Is it right for you?
Who is a good candidate?
RE2O suits adults with thin or crepey skin who want a subtle improvement in texture and fine lines, not a change in contour. It is also a choice for patients who want an option for delicate areas that integrates softly with the tissue.
Deep folds, marked sagging or significant hollowing usually need fillers, collagen stimulators or lifting such as Ultherapy, and your dermatologist will tell you honestly if RE2O alone is unlikely to meet your goals.
RE2O may suit you if you
- Have thin, crinkly skin under the eyes or on the neck
- Want to soften fine lines without visible volume
- Have shallow, soft acne or other atrophic scars
- Prefer a gradual, natural change
- Are planning a combined skin quality program

Skin quality as part of a full-face plan
This case shows a combined lifting and skin program, shown as an example of our non-surgical results; it is not an RE2O result. RE2O is usually one part of a broader plan for skin quality.
Ask us for RE2O-specific cases at consultation, and your dermatologist will explain what is realistic for your skin.

Questions we hear every day
RE2O Human Collagen FAQ
Does RE2O hurt?
Numbing cream is applied first, so most patients feel brief pinches and pressure rather than strong pain. The under-eye area can feel more sensitive. Tell your dermatologist about your pain tolerance so the approach can be adjusted.
How long do RE2O results last?
Injected collagen is gradually broken down by the body, so results are not permanent. Many patients see improvement for several months and plan maintenance within about a year. Duration varies with the area treated, the number of sessions and your skin.
Is RE2O safe for under the eyes?
RE2O is often chosen for the under-eyes because it is soft and spreads evenly in thin skin. As with any injection there are risks such as bruising and, rarely, lumps or infection. Your dermatologist will check whether your concern is thin skin, hollowing or pigment before recommending it.
How is RE2O different from a filler?
Hyaluronic acid fillers mainly add volume to change contour. RE2O provides soft collagen support and focuses on skin thickness, fine lines and texture. Some patients receive both, with filler for structure and RE2O for skin quality.
Can I have RE2O on a short trip to Seoul?
Usually yes. Downtime is short, though under-eye bruising can take up to a week to fade, so plan photos and events accordingly. If more than one session is advised, we can schedule them around your travel.
