Skinvive / Revive · quick answer

What Skinvive does, in one paragraph

Skinvive is a hyaluronic acid (HA) skin booster from the Juvéderm range, injected as tiny droplets across the skin rather than as a volumising filler. The HA attracts and holds water in the skin, which can improve hydration, smoothness and glow, particularly on the cheeks, without changing face shape. Results are typically seen within a few weeks and last around six months. At Ever Skin Clinic, a board-certified dermatologist checks your skin and confirms whether Skinvive or another booster suits your goals.

The treatment

What is Skinvive?

Skinvive is a hyaluronic acid microdroplet treatment designed to improve skin quality. Instead of placing larger amounts of filler to lift or shape, small droplets are spread evenly in the skin to hydrate it from within. Because it contains lidocaine, the injections are more comfortable for many patients. Our treatment menu lists it as Skinvive / Revive; your dermatologist will confirm the exact product used at your visit.

Skinvive is one of several skin boosters. It focuses on hydration and glow, while Rejuran focuses on repair and NCTF adds vitamins and amino acids. Many plans combine two of these.

What Skinvive can and cannot do

  • Can improve skin hydration and a dewy glow
  • Can smooth fine lines and rough texture on the cheeks
  • Can be combined with lasers and other boosters
  • Cannot add volume or lift like a dermal filler
  • Cannot treat deep wrinkles or sagging on its own

Is it right for you?

Who is a good candidate?

Skinvive suits adults whose skin looks dull, dry or slightly rough and who want a fresher, more hydrated look without any change in contour. It is popular before events or as a regular skin quality treatment.

If hyaluronic acid has been placed in the same area recently, or if you want volume restoration, your dermatologist may suggest a different plan, such as HA fillers for structure.

Skinvive may suit you if you want to

  • Improve hydration and glow in dull skin
  • Smooth fine lines and roughness on the cheeks
  • Refresh skin before a trip or event
  • Avoid any visible change in face shape
  • Add hydration to a Rejuran or laser plan

Recovery & safety

Recovery, side effects and aftercare

Small bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising at injection points are common and usually settle within a few days. Rare risks include lumps, infection and, as with any HA injection, vascular complications. HA products can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed.

Tell your dermatologist if you have an allergy to lidocaine or HA products, a history of severe allergies, an active skin infection or cold sores, a bleeding tendency, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Aftercare tips

  • Avoid make-up on treated areas for the rest of the day
  • Skip saunas, hot baths and intense exercise for 1 to 2 days
  • Do not massage or press the treated areas
  • Limit alcohol for a day or two to reduce bruising
  • Use a gentle moisturiser and daily sunscreen

Questions we hear every day

Skinvive / Revive FAQ

Is Skinvive a filler?

Skinvive is made of hyaluronic acid like many fillers, but it is injected as tiny droplets across the skin to improve hydration and smoothness, not to add volume or change shape. Your face shape should look the same, with fresher skin.

How long does Skinvive last?

Results commonly last around six months, depending on your skin, lifestyle and the area treated. Many patients plan a maintenance session about twice a year.

Does Skinvive hurt?

The product contains lidocaine and numbing cream is applied first, so most patients feel brief pinches and pressure. Small bumps and tenderness can last a day or two.

Can Skinvive be combined with Rejuran?

Often yes. Rejuran supports repair and texture, while Skinvive adds hydration. Your dermatologist can plan them in the same session or spaced apart depending on your skin and schedule.

Is Skinvive suitable before a trip or event?

It can be, but allow about one to two weeks for bumps or bruising to settle and for the glow to develop. For international patients, a single session fits easily into a short stay in Seoul.
